Statement From UFA

The city has continued to stonewall the court ordered release of the "911 call processing review" documents because they today filed a notice of appeal to the Appellate Division, First Department, challenging Justice Arthur Engoron's order mandating the release of these documents to the fire unions. The city needs to stop stonewalling on the independent consultant's 911 report which was ordered released by Justice Engoron.

The 911 Uniformed Call Taker (UCT) System, which is critiqued is these " 9-1-1 call processing review " documents, has been used to artificially lower response times so that the city could justify closing firehouses and reduce staffing at 60 engine companies.

The city needs to stop playing a numbers game and stop manipulating statistics that affect public and firefighter safety and stop obstructing justice.
