The UFA and PBA are continuing our joint pop-up picketing campaign in our efforts to obtain a fair contract for NYC's Firefighters and Police Officers. SHORT NOTICE: We need members for the following two urgent and important events. Wear your yellow shirts if available!!!
• Today (Tuesday - August 17, 2004) 1300 hours
1 pm at 810 7th Avenue (52 to 53rd Streets). It was just confirmed that Bloomberg will be there. Turn out one member from each firehouse if at all possible.
• Tonight (Tuesday after midnight - August 18, 2004) 0030
We need about 200 members to turn-out TONIGHT at 12:30 am (Wednesday morning 0030 hours) to muster at 69th Street and Central Park West. We will be marching to a special location/event to-be-announced after members arrive. Each battalion needs to turn-out 4 to 6 members.
On-duty members of firehouses that have Battalion Delegates assigned to them are asked to immediately notify their Delegate(s) and to also call all firehouses (TODAY!!!) within their battalion until at least 4 to 6 volunteers for tonight are secured from each respective battalion. The senior member working at the Battalion Delegate firehouse needs to list the volunteering members from its battalion on the below form (SEE Below) and fax it back to the UFA Recording Secretary's Office today, ATTN: Joe Miccio, at 212-683-4359 or 212-683-0710.
