The PBA received their award from PERB last night. The award covers the period from August 2002 to July 2004 and provides two retroactive raises at 5% each year. There were also productivity concessions in the award: the starting salary of officers while in the police academy was decreased, as was the new hire pay scale, one personal day was lost, and the right of the Department to reschedule 10 tours was increased to 15. The members of the Executive Board will review this award and decide the best course of action as it pertains to our members. As new developments emerge we will keep you informed.
