The Uniformed Firefighters Association together with fellow unions within the Municipal Labor Committee will host a "Save Our City" rally on June 16th at City Hall to speak out about devastating budget cuts. Please plan to arrive by 3:30 p.m. Start time is 4 p.m. It is recommended to take public transportation.
The event will be co-sponsored by the 99 unions that make up the MLC. The labor coalition will also be running a radio advertisement asking New Yorkers to attend the rally to help protect "fire houses, libraries, senior centers, after-school programs and tutoring for our kids." Remember the Mayor still intends to close 20 fire companies. Let's turnout and have our voices heard.
