Phone Problem for Weather Info Used to Determine T.H.I.

Several members have reported that the weather info phone number reported on 65-2 #54 (212 and 718-976-1212) will not work from firehouse phones or cell phones. These numbers will work from landlines outside of the Fire Dept. Members encountering this problem should call someone at their residence who can get the temperature and relative humidity from these numbers. Use these with the 10-51 chart to determine the THI and if conditions warrant a signal 10-51. Please use this method until we are able to find a number that works from a cell and/or firehouse.
