The FF / Staff Sgt. Christian Engeldrum Benefit will take place on Friday August 12 at Gaelic Park, 240th Street & Broadway (Bronx). The event will begin at 630 PM with the FDNY / NYPD Rugby Game, followed by a performance from the FDNY Emerald Society Pipes and Drums. After the performance, a short ceremony will take place officially installing the FDNY Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post (with Engeldrum as the namesake) as well as a presentation of the Post’s Charter to the Engeldrum Family. The night will also feature a performance by the Celtic rock band, Sullivan’s Jack. A $20 donation at the door includes the Rugby Game, Ceremony and the performance by the band, as well as drink tickets, hot dogs and hamburgers. Raffle tickets can be purchased for $10 in order to win a chance at more than $12,000 worth of prizes. FDNY Memorial Day is on Wednesday, October 12th, not October 5th. Please insure that all members adjust your calendars accordingly.
