Brunton Pitch and Putt/BBQ
The 4th Annual Vincent Brunton Pitch and Putt Outing and BBQ on
Fri. August 12 at Fort Tilden, Rockaway,12:30 PM. Golf outing is booked full, anyone wishing to participate in the BBQ is welcome. 5th Annual Softball Tournament to Benefit Sturge-Weber Syndrome
Taking place August 13th, rain date August 14th at Redmond Field, Yonkers. 3 games guaranteed. Top 12 teams advance to single elimination. Accepting A, B, C Division Teams. Registration fee of $375 due by July 28th. Checks payable to Sturge-Weber Foundation. Mail fee along with team name, team organizer, address & phone number of team organizer and shirt sizes (M, L, XL, XXL, XXL) (12 per team) to Mrs. Angela Jimenez, 329 Rich Ave 2nd Fl, Mt. Steuben Boat Ride
Annual Steuben Association Boat Ride will take place on August 17. Leave from Pier 83 (W 42nd StandWest SideHighway). Boarding begins at 730 PM; the cruise is from 8:00to11:00 PM. Bravest Baseball VS. Worcester FD
FDNY Baseball team is playing Worcester Fire Department Sat. August 27,2 PM at Dodd Stadium in Norwich, Conn. Admission is $5 & proceeds support a memorial in memory of 6 members of the Worcester FD lost in a warehouse fire in 1999. The game will be followed by an after party. Free Dinner Cruise for Vets
To express their gratitude to Military Veterans and Firefighters, owners of the Dinner Cruise Ship "River Rose" are offering a free cruise to members of the FDNY who have served in the military and their families. This is an open invitation to all Vets. The cruise on the evening of Sept. 10, 2005, includes dinner buffet, beer, wine and soda and DJ. Engine 7/Ladder 1 Celebration
On Sept. 25, E 7 / L 1 will be celebrating 100 years of service at 100 Duane St.in TriBeCa. They will be sponsoring events and activities throughout the day. To offset the costs associated, advertisers are being sought to purchase space in the commemorative journal celebrating the day. Good opportunity for business exposure. Applications for the 2005 UFA Scholarship Fund will be available via the UFAwebsite, www.ufanyc.org beginning 8/15. Applications and enrollment verification must be received at the UFA Scholarship Fund office postmarked no later than October 3, 2005.
