1. Putnam County Holiday Blood Drive

2. 27th Annual City Harvest Canned Food Drive
REMINDER: As per Dept. Order #95 on Thursday, November 19th the 27th annual City Harvest Canned Food Drive began. The drive will continue until January 8, 2010. All firehouses have been designated as collection points for the public who wish to donate canned food. Members should also expect schoolchildren to be bringing donations to the firehouses. Call Racine Rodriguez at 917-351-8711 (email: rrodriguez@cityharvest.org) to arrange a pick-up date for City Harvest to collect the donations. City Harvest will have trucks available in all five boroughs. Their goal is to pick up within 48 hours.

4. FDNY St. George Association Annual Scholarship Exam
On Saturday, January 2, 2010, at 10am, at American Legion Post 301, 80-45 Winchester Blvd., Queens, NY the FDNY St. George Association Annual Scholarship Exam will take place. Scholarships will be awarded in four categories: Ages 12 & 13; Ages 14 & 15; Ages 16 & 17; and Ages 18 & 19. 5. FDNY Surf Club
The FDNY Surf Club is calling for new members to bolster their ranks and join in their monthly meetings. With the upcoming World Police & Fire Games in New York City in August 2011 the Surf Club is interested in enlisting the help of members with various skills and contacts to ensure our representation of the FDNY for the upcoming Games. Participation from members with organizational knowledge from other clubs and teams is also requested. Anyone interested in joining or helping out in any way is encouraged to contact the current members at fdnysurf@gmail.com.
