1. FF Richie Manetta (L-156) Benefit
On Saturday, October 3rd, 6pm, at the c/o Bedford & Emmons Ave. on the Golden Sunshine Charter Boat there will be a fundraiser for FF Richie Manetta to help defray the financial burden he and his family are dealing with. Richie has been battling an aggressive form of cancer since September 2008. Tickets: $100 per person. There will also be 3 raffles drawn for 2 cars and a $10,000 chance. 2. Steuben Day Parade
On Saturday, September 19th, at 11:15am members participating shall wear dress uniform and assemble at E. 67th St. & Madison Ave. in Manhattan. Members participating shall wear dress uniform. There will be a collation to follow at St. Ignatius School Hall on E. 84th St. between Park & Madison Avenues.
3. FDNY Hockey Team Tryouts

4. FF Michael Elferis (E-22) 5K Memorial Run
REMINDER: On Saturday, October 3rd, 10am, at McNeil Park located on 119th St. & Poppenhusen Ave. in Queens. Pre-registration (deadline-Sept. 30th): $15, Race day: $20, includes food, beverages, raffles, and more. A kids half mile fun run will take place at 11am. Run is rain or shine. 5. Jeff Giordano (L-3) Memorial 5K Run
On Sunday, October 4th, 10am, the 8th Annual Jeff Giordano (L-3) Memorial 5K Run will be held at the Mount Loretto MIV Retreat Center at Hylan Blvd. & Cunningham Road, Staten Island, NY. Entry fee is $25. Proceeds benefit the FF Jeff Giordano Children's Playroom at the Cornell Burn Center. For info call L-3, 212-570-4303.
6. Community Mayors Inc. at the Bronx Zoo
On Monday, October 5th volunteers are needed at the Bronx Zoo by 8:30am. Volunteers should park between Southern Blvd. & Grote St.
