1. UFA Scholarship Applications
REMINDER: Applications and instructions for the UFA Scholarship Fund are now available HERE. Deadline for submission is October 9, 2009.


2. Lt. John Martinson Memorial Picnic
On Saturday, September 26th, from 12 noon to 7pm at Nansen Park, 3465 Victory Blvd, S.I., the 2nd Annual Lt. John Martinson Memorial Picnic will be held. The Picnic helps to support the Lt. 3. FF Michael Elferis (E-22) 5K Memorial Run
On Saturday, October 3rd, 10am, at McNeil Park located on 119th St. & Poppenhusen Ave. in Queens. Pre-registration (deadline-Sept. 30th): $15, Race day: $20, includes food, beverages, raffles, and more. A kids half mile fun run will take place at 11am. Run is rain or shine. 4. FDNY vs. NYPD Baseball Game
On Sunday, October 4th, at 12 noon at the Richmond County Ball Park the FDNY will take on the NYPD in baseball. Tickets: $10 can be purchased online at www.nyfiredup.com. For more info contact Scott Miller, 917-225-7872.


5. FDNY vs. NYPD Battle of the Badges
On Friday, October 9th, at 7pm at the Theater at Madison Square Garden (MSG) New York's Bravest Boxing will take on New York's Fighting Finest in the "Battle of the Badges." Tickets are on sale now ranging from $30 to $65. They can be purchased at the MSG Box Office, Ticketmaster outlets, or online at www.thegarden.com.


6. Splish Splash Water Park UFA Discount Tickets
