- FDNY Soccer Club to Celebrate 30 Years in April
April 26th - April 29th, 2007. The festivities will include an opening night party at the NYC Fire Museum, an International Soccer Tournament, a Youth Soccer Clinic, and a Gala Dinner Reception. - International Soccer Tournament
Clubs representing Firefighters from Canada, England, Germany, Holland, Italy, Florida and New Jersey, as well as the NYPD will participate in this event. The event includes two days of soccer competition on Friday, April 27th and Saturday, April 28th. The games will be played from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm in Flushing Meadows Park in Queens. Field numbers are 8 and 9 and they can be accessed off of College Pt. Blvd. (Exit 22 on LIE)
- Youth Soccer Clinic
Sunday, April 29th at 10:00am, a Free Soccer Clinic for sons and daughters of the FDNY will be held. All participants are required to be pre-registered as space is very limited. Soccer instruction will be offered by International Teams, FDNY Players and Coaches, as well as special guest coach appearances. - FDNY Soccer Team 30th Anniversary Gala Dinner Celebration
Saturday, March 3, 2007, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart School, 457 West 51st Street, Manhattan. Children graduating from 8th Grade or Junior High School in 2007 are eligible if a parent or sibling is a member of the Emerald Society. Emerald Society members must be current dues paying members for at least 3 years prior to the exam. Applications may be obtained from Borough Officers and Company Delegates of the Emerald Society. - FDNY Soccer Team Opening Night Party @ NYC Fire Museum
Thursday, April 26th, 6:30 pm, kick-off party for the weekend will be on at the Fire Museum. Tickets $20 in advance, $25 at the door.

2007 Tryout Dates are March 24th, 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, March 31st, 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, and April 14th from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at Forest Hills High School in Queens. Over 30 regular season games. Play at Keyspan Park against the NYPD. Travel to events and tournaments throughout the country. - Higher Education Scholarship Drawing
April 15, 2007, The Holy Name Society, Manhattan, Bronx and Staten Island, will hold a Higher Education Scholarship Drawing at its annual Communion Breakfast. The scholarship consists of two (2) one thousand dollar awards, payable to any college or trade school of the winnerÕs choice. Members must be in good standing in this society and in their twelfth year of education. Members must be present to win and have submitted an application. The World Trade Center Memorial Scholarship guarantees access to a college education for the families and financial dependents of victims who died or were severely and permanently disabled as a result of 9/11. Children, spouses, and financial dependents of deceased or severely and permanently disabled victims of 9/11 or the subsequent rescue and recovery operations are eligible, including victims at the World Trade Center site, the Pentagon, or who were on flights 11, 77, 93, or 175.
