1. FF Kevin T. Meehan (E-34) Plaque Dedication
On Friday, August 7th at 11am a plaque dedication will be held honoring the memory of Firefighter Kevin T. Meehan (E-34) who died on August 5, 2008. The dedication will take place in the quarters of E-34 / L-21, located at 440 West 38 Street, New York, NY. All off-duty members and their families are invited to attend as a mark of respect to the deceased. Members are requested to attend in dress uniform.
2. 1999 Fire Academy Class 10-Year Reunion

3. Firefighter Appreciation Night with the Staten Island Yankees
REMINDER: On Thursday, August 20th, at 7pm the Staten Island Yankees will take on the Tri-City Valley Cats at Richmond County Bank Ballpark. 4. 4th Annual NYPD vs. FDNY Tennis Tournament
On Sunday, August 23rd at 9:30am, the 4th annual NYPD vs FDNY Tennis Tournament will be held at Crotona Park, Bronx, NY. You must sign-up to play. Contact DC Ray Stanton (845) 628-5437 to register. Family and colleagues are welcome to attend. There will be raffles for Yankee tickets, U.S. Open, and fun activities for the kids. Lunch will be served and parking is free. Proceeds support the NYPD Widows and Children's Fund and the UFA Scholarship Fund.
5. Battle of the Badges 2009
On Friday, Sept. 25th at 7pm at the Theater at Madison Square Garden (MSG) New York's Bravest will take on New York's Finest in the "Battle of the Badges." Tickets are on sale now ranging from $30 to $65. They can be purchased at the MSG Box Office, Ticketmaster outlets, or online at www.thegarden.com.
