1. FDNY Anchor Club Frances Schervier Picnic
On Thursday, July 9th at 10am at the Anchor Club, FDNY, will host a picnic for the patients at Frances Schervier Nursing Home, located at 2975 Independence Avenue, Bronx, NY. All off-duty members are invited to attend and assist the Anchor Club in moving the patients and serving them refreshments. Additional info can be found online at www.fdnyanchorclub.org.
2. 9th Annual FDNY Night
REMINDER: Friday, July 17th at 7pm, the Brooklyn Cyclones will play the Auburn Doubledays at KeySpan Park, 1904 Surf Ave. Tickets range from $8 to $13. This year tickets are being sold online at www.brooklyncyclones.com. Go to Tickets, Ticket Discounts & Specials, click on Promotional Codes, enter FDNY. 3. Intrepid Hosts FDNY Weekend And Blessing Of The FDNY Marine Fleet
On Saturday, July 18th & Sunday, July 19th, the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum, located at West 48th Street & 12th Avenue, Manhattan, will honor members of the FDNY by hosting a "Firefighters and EMT/Paramedics Appreciation Weekend." Activities will be taking place on both days, including demonstrations, simulated rescues, and fire safety programs. The Blessing of the FDNY Marine Fleet will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 18th, commencing with a ceremony on the Flight Deck and concluding with a water display. Admission to the Intrepid is FREE to any FDNY employee, uniformed or civilian, with an FDNY photo ID or Department badge; family members will receive a discounted admission. The Intrepid is open from 10am-6pm.
