1. Firefighter Buddy-Up Program
Volunteers are needed to assist disabled veterans, returning from Walter Reed Hospital, participating in the Hope & Possibility Race Friday, June 26th through Sunday, June 28th. Volunteers should arrive at the Union League Club located at 38 E.37th St. (btwn. Park & Madison Ave.) Friday at 1pm and Saturday at 9am. On Sunday at 7:30am volunteers should go to Tavern on the Green located at Central Park at W.67th St. For more info contact Ret. FF Dan Daly, 914-837-4613.
2. FF Shawn E. Powell (E-207) Plaque Dedication
REMINDER: On Wednesday, June 24th at 12 noon, New York Cornell Medical Center will be dedicating a conference room in memory of Firefighter Shawn E. Powell (E-207) who made the supreme sacrifice on September 11, 2001. Prior to joining the FDNY, Sean worked in the Cardiology Department at Cornell Medical Center and the hospital will honor him for his service. The dedication will take place at New York Cornell Medical Center, 525 East 68th Street, NYC (Payson Wing - 4th Floor Solarium). All off-duty members and their families are invited to attend as a mark of respect to the deceased. Members are requested to attend in dress uniform.
3. FamilyLife Free Marriage Conference

This conference will offer you an opportunity to improve communication, inspire commitment and increase closeness in your marriage. Topics during the conference will include: threats to great marriage, purpose for marriage, effective communication, conflict resolution, marriage roles, parental responsibility, developing a satisfying sex life, and modeling a healthy relationship for your children.
