Fire Breaks Out At Brooklyn Paper Factory

NY 1

A fire that broke out in a Brooklyn paper factory Saturday morning left no injuries.

Fire officials say most of the flames were in the factory basement at the factory on 182 Van Dyke Street in Red Hook, and then spread to the first floor. Piles of cardboard boxes and wood were seen burning; however, no injuries were reported.

The fire, which started just before 8 a.m., was upgraded to a three-alarm blaze but officials say it is now under control.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
