Curtis Sliwa once called Eddie Brown, Bronx trustee for the Uniformed Firefighters Assocation, "the toughest white man" he knows. Maybe that's because Eddie trained the Tuardian Angels in martial arts.
The former Golden Gloves fighter also helped train the FDNY boxing team, which last week presented $10,000 to the nonprofit Wounded Warrior Project, which helps returning war vets.
Bronx team members include team captain Mike Reno of Engine 33; Keith Moran, Ladder 166; Felipe Irizarry, Engine 66; Todd Velten, Ladder 44; Kevin Kirrane, Ladder 51, and Matt Burke, Engine 62.
