1. FDNY 9/11 Remembrance Hockey Tournament
REMINDER: On Monday, September 8th to Wednesday, September 10th at the Aviator Sports Complex, Floyd Bennett Field in B'klyn, NY, the FDNY Hockey Team will organize this hockey tournament benefiting various FDNY charitable funds. 2. FDNY Anchor Club Annual Picnic At Schervier Nursing Home
REMINDER: On Thursday, July 10th, 10am, at Frances Schervier Nursing Home, located at 2975 Independence Avenue, Bronx, NY. Volunteers are needed to assist moving wheelchair patients and serving lunch & refreshments at the Annual Anchor Club Picnic. 3. 7th Annual Terry Farrell (R-4) Memorial Golf Outing
REMINDER: On Monday, July 21st at the Brentwood Country Club in Brentwood, Long Island. Breakfast will be served at 8am followed by a 9am shotgun. 4. 8th Annual FDNY Night at Keyspan Park
REMINDER: On Friday, July 25th at 7pm, the Brooklyn Cyclones will play the Staten Island Yankees at 1904 Surf Ave. B'klyn. Tickets: $15 each for grandstand, $10 each for bleacher seats. 5. 'A-Team' High School Scholarships
The family and friends of Lt. Joseph Cavalieri, FF Christopher Bopp & FF James Bohan have established the A-Team Scholarship in their memory. The scholarship competition is open to any child of an active or retired member of the UFA or UFOA. The scholarship will award a freshman entering a private H.S. in September 2008 five hundred ($500) dollars each year. The student must submit an essay describing why they want to attend the particular private H.S. The student must maintain a C or better average throughout H.S. Applicants must also submit an essay with parent's name, address, phone number and work unit. Postmark deadline: August 6, 2008. All info must be submitted to: A-Team Scholarship FDNY, P.O.
