More money is being allocated to demolish the contaminated Deutsche Bank building downtown.
The Lower Manhattan Development Corporation said Friday it's shifting about $37.5 million to help tear down the structure as quickly and safely as possible.
A spokesman says the money will come from federal funds awarded to the agency to repair utilities around the World Trade Center site.
The Deutsche Bank Building was badly damaged on September 11th. Since then, its demolition has stalled over concerns about asbestos, the discovery of human remains, and a deadly fire.
Firefighters Joseph Graffagnino and Robert Beddia were killed at the site last August.
Investigators later discovered a broken standpipe failed to deliver water to the upper floors.
The district attorney, fire department and attorney general are all investigating the incident.
