Fire Official: 2 Dead In Staten Island Fire

AP - Two people are dead after a fire swept through vacant buildings on Staten Island.

A fire official says two males died in the blaze on Bay Street near Victory Boulevard. The fire was called in about 12:39 a.m. Tuesday.

The fire spokesman says the blaze was under control about two hours after firefighters got to the buildings.

The cause remains under investigation.
