Investigators Look Into East Harlem Apartment Fire

NY 1

Officials are investigating the cause of a fire that broke out this morning in East Harlem.

Firefighters say flames broke out on the second floor of a six-story apartment building on 119th Street and Park Ave this morning. It was quickly brought under control.

The owner of the bar on the first floor says he got a call just before 10 this morning.

"I came one down and checked it out and it's just a lot of water damage in our place, but nothing else," said Gregory Biel, owner of Rages of Harlem Lounge.

Only the first and second floors were affected. There were no major injuries.
