A 22-year-old Queens man hurled two Molotov cocktails a day apart at the middle school he claimed he once attended, FDNY sources said Friday.

Konstantinos Mavrikos launched the first explosive at Junior High School 194 in Whitestone Thursday evening while students were in after-school programs, sources said.

The attack caused no damage or injuries, and Mavrikos returned Friday at about 12:45 p.m. to toss another beer bottle filled with a flammable liquid, according to sources. The flame charred a small section of a brick wall, but could have been much worse, said Assistant Chief Fire Marshal Robert Byrnes. "These types of fires can be extremely dangerous because of how fast they spread," he said.

As Mavrikos drove off, a witness wrote down his license plate number, and cops caught him a short time later, charging him with first-degree arson, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.

School officials could not immediately confirm that Mavrikos was once a student at the school.
