On Wednesday, January 16th at noon, Hunter College Auditorium at the above address. FDNY members are welcomed to the Send off Ceremony for the NYC Army National Guard Soldiers to show support for our troops!
The members of the 1st Battalion 69th Infantry (FF Chris Engledrum's Infantry) will be part of a 700 Soldier Security Force built around the 2nd squadron 101st Calvalry, which will provide security for an international team of Soldiers and Police Officers charged with providing training for the Afghan National Army and Police Force.
The Soldiers go on Federal Active Duty on January 17th and will depart for approximately two months of training before deploying to Afghanistan. For more info: Gene Lynch, 845-664-2276 or Vicki Miano, 917-992-9464.
