Bloomberg Spends Christmas With Brooklyn Firefighters

NY 1

Mayor Michael Bloomberg spent Christmas paying a visit to some of New York's Bravest.

He celebrated the holiday with Engine 277, Ladder 112 and their families on Tuesday.

Festivities were held at their new fire house that Bloomberg says they've called home for about two weeks.

"It's a spectacular building," said the mayor. "Just look at the design from outside and inside. It hopefully will turn out to be the most functional firehouse we've ever designed."

Since taking office, Bloomberg has made it his holiday tradition to visit city employees who have to work on Christmas.
