High-Rise Fire In Lower Manhattan Injures Six

NY 1

An early morning fire in a Manhattan high-rise sent six people to the hospital this morning.

The fire started just after midnight at a 17-story building on Catherine Slip in Lower Manhattan.

Firefighters managed to get the flames under control in about a half hour.

The FDNY says the six residents suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Still no word on what caused the flames.
