99-Cents Store Gutted In Brooklyn Fire

NY 1

A three-alarm fire gutted a Flatbush, Brooklyn store Tuesday.

The blaze broke out at around 1 p.m. in a 99-cents store along Flatbush Avenue.

Around 125 firefighters contained the blaze, evacuating the store and two floors of apartments above.

"I know there was something wrong because I was already by my block and I smell something and I know the smell was smoke because the smell was so bad," said a witness.

No residents were hurt. Six firefighters were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire
