Three-Alarm Fire in Bayside Extinguished

(1010 WINS) -- A fire was reported after 1 a.m. Monday in a furniture store on Bell Boulevard and 42nd Avenue in Bayside, Queens.

Officials said no one was inside at the time and the cause of the fire is not known at this time.

The fire was extinguished at about 3 a.m.

One firefighter sustained serious injuries and 11 other firefighters were taken to various hospitals for minor injuries.

One civilian was injured.
