One Dead as Fire Burns Five Homes in Queens

NEW YORK -- New York City fire and police are investigating a fire that burned through five homes in Queens

The fire was reported just before 10 p.m. in the homes on 169th Street betweeen Liberty Avenue and 104th Avenue.

An 83-year-old man who lived in one of the homes was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released.

A 43-year-old woman is listed in critical condition with severe burns.
