Several businesses were wiped out by an early morning blaze Tuesday in the Corona section of Queens.

The three-alarm fire broke out just after 2 a.m. in a commercial building located at 3926 104th Street near Roosevelt Avenue.

About 140 firefighters were on the scene to battle the blaze and got the flames under control at 4:18 a.m., a fire department spokesman said.

Five or six businesses were destroyed, including a gift shop, a bakery and a small grocery store, according to published reports.

Three firefighters sustained minor injuries and were taken to Elmhurst hospital.

The building was located underneath the No. 7 subway line tracks and service was briefly disrupted, but restored for the morning rush.

Some streets near the fire site and still blocked off this morning, including Roosevelt Avenue between 103rd and 105th streets.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
