Fire Erupts Near Amtrak Train Line In The Bronx

NY 1

by null

A massive three-alarm fire erupted Wednesday night at what appears to be an auto parts store and a two-story private home in the Bronx.

Fire officials say the site of the fire is at 1235 Bronx River Avenue.

It appears the blaze was ignited in the back of that building, where there is reportedly a junk yard.

It is burning right next to an Amtrak line and delayed one train that had to slow down, but no other delays have been reported on Amtrak.

Firefighters are working to get the flames under control.

There are no injuries reported at this time.
