It took more than 100 firefighters to put out a stubborn two-alarm fire at a junkyard in Queens Sunday.

The blaze broke out before 8 a.m. at a salvage lot for old cars on Greenpoint Avenue in Blissville.

Firefighters quickly called a second alarm due to the heavy smoke and flames. They also brought in foam trucks and fire boats to fight the blaze.
Several firefighters received medical attention due to smoke inhalation.

No one was on the lot at the time of the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
