Some of New York's finest and bravest share lessons they learned after 9/11 with their counterparts from Ireland. First responders from both countries were able to talk shop Thursday night at a reception hosted by the British consulate. New York cops and firemen talked about how to treat people exposed to trauma from 9/11, while Irish counselors talked about dealing with terrorism in the on-going conflict in Northern Ireland. New York's emergency responders will be heading to Ireland Friday to take part in a week-long seminar. "Our mission is a mental health service to prepare people for future events from an emotional strength point of view, and to help people after events, to heal, to transform their families," said Malachy Corrigan of the FDNY Counseling Service Unit. "It's a fantastic opportunity to experience another approach to handling these types of incidents, and it's an opportunity to establish a linkage with people that have dealt with the same types of issues that we're dealing with," said Deputy Chief George Anderson. The seminar in Ireland goes until June 11th
