Eleven hurt in Brooklyn high-rise fire

NEW YORK (AP) _ Eleven people suffered minor injuries when a fire broke out in a high-rise apartment building in Brooklyn, authorities said.

The blaze started at about 10:41 p.m. Tuesday on the 21st floor of 47 McKeever Pl., a 25-story building just east of Prospect Park, the fire department said.

The injured included three children, according to Firefighter Paul Iannizzotto, a department spokesman. All of the injuries appeared to be minor, and the blaze was brought under control at about 11:40 p.m., he said.
