Marion Gaines' savior strolled into her hospital room yesterday ith a twinkle in his eye and a bouquet in his hands. "Can I give you a kiss?" Firefighter Richard Donovan asked the blind Bronx grandmother - but before she could answer, he smooched her on the right cheek. She smiled, then thanked Donovan again and again for rescuing her from a fast-moving fire that devoured her Baychester home early Wednesday. "This man next to me is one of the best," Gaines, 75, said. "I have only praise for you," she told him. "You and all the other firemen, you're beautiful people. You care about people and I thank you for that." The heartfelt reunion took place at Jacobi Medical Center, where Gaines will have to stay for at least another day. "It warms my heart to know I made a difference in somebody's life," said Donovan, who works at Ladder 51 in Baychester.
