The Manhattan firefighter who lost his leg after a taxi rammed him and another Bravest on the upper West Side was released from Bellevue Hospital yesterday.

Firefighter John Walters, 37, was wheeled out of the hospital as more than 100 of his comrades applauded. He gave a thumbs up before getting into an ambulance that drove him to his Port Washington, L.I., home.
