A fire started by a candle ripped through a Bronx apartment early yesterday, killing a 5-year-old girl and critically injuring her 6-year-old sister and their father, who raced into the flames in a desperate bid to save them, officials said.

Diogenes Felix, 44, and daughter Mary Angela suffered severe burns but 5-year-old Sarah was declared dead at the scene.
