A four-alarm fire that started in a Bronx tire shop damaged several businesses last night, fire officials said.

The blaze broke out shortly after 10:30 on Jerome Avenue near Featherbed Lane in Mount Eden. One person suffered minor smoke-related injuries. A pet store caught fire but it wasn't immediately known if any animals were inside.
