BRAVEST RAISE 10G FOR WOUNDED GIS

NY Post

by Patrick Gallahue

New York's Bravest presented a $10,000 check yesterday to the Wounded Warrior Project, which assists severely injured soldiers from Iraq, Afghanistan, and around the world.

The Fire Department's boxing team has about four charitable events a year. The money for Wounded Warrior Project was raised at a New York Post-sponsored event on April 1.

"It always goes to a good cause," said super heavyweight Devin Powers, 30, of Ladder 7 in Manhattan, "so it's worth a few punches."
