Upcoming Events

1. Colombian Day Parade
The Colombian Day Parade will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2007. Participating members of the Department shall assemble on 69th Street & Northern Blvd. in Queens at 10:30 am, marching at 11:30 am. Dress uniform shall be worn. Collation to follow. For more info call 718-482-3375.

2. Memorial Mass
On Thursday, August 2, 2007, at 10:30 am, E-254, E-276, L-153, L-156, B-33 and B-42 will host a memorial mass commemorating the 29th anniversary of the Waldbaum's Fire. The mass will take place at St. Brendan's Church located at 1202 Avenue O, Brooklyn, NY. All off-duty members and their families are invited to attend as a mark of respect to the deceased. Members are requested to attend in dress uniform.

3. A-Team Scholarship
REMINDER: The family and friends of Lt. Joseph Cavalieri, FF Christopher Bopp, and FF James Bohan have established an A-Team Scholarship in their memory. The scholarship competition is open to any child of an active or retired member of the UFA or UFOA. Applicants MUST: be a freshman entering a private high school in September 2007; submit an essay describing why they want to attend the particular private school with their parent's name, address, phone number, and work unit; maintain a C average throughout high school; and submit all info by DEADLINE, August 6th to: A-Team Scholarship FDNY P.O. Box 360-395, Brooklyn, NY 11236. Winner of the scholarship will receive $500 each year.

4. FDNY vs. NYPD Baseball Game
August 25th at 7 pm at Coney Island's Keyspan Park. Tickets are $10. A portion of the money raised will go to both the FDNY and NYPD widows and children fund. For Tickets call Scott Miller at 917-225-7872 or logon to www.nyfiredup.com.
