The UFA has received several calls regarding the discrepancy between the UFA actuary's previously published first grade base retro dollar amount ($11,245) and what the correct figure is ($10,958). The original figure was calculated as if you were paid for working through 2/28, which is incorrect.
Previous charts showing estimated retro base pay did not factor in the one week lag-time between when all city employees work and when they are all paid (OT is handled differently, and varies depending on the number of OT hours you worked.)
Retroactive first grade pay in your 2/28/03 paycheck includes all retroactive base and night shift pay accrued from June 1, 2000 through February 8, 2003. Night shift retro varies depending on your time employed and longevity. OT in your retro check is calculated on the OT earned between June 1, 2000 and February 15, 2003. Your new increased bi-weekly base and night shift pay earned after 2/8/03 was reflected in this paycheck (amount earned this period) and will be included regularly in all future paychecks.
"Other" includes all OT and differentials (including CFR-D & Chauffer) because there is not enough available space to list individually. However, the new tiller differential is not included yet. Back To Top
