1. LODI FICA Refund E-mail Address Correction
Dept Order #86 was published on 9/25 with an incorrect e-mail address for the Office of Payroll Administration (OPA). The correct email address is: Lodi_FICARefund@payroll.nyc.gov. Be sure that you also the correct this information on UFA 65-2 #69 dated October 1st.
2. UFA Scholarship Applications - Available 8/11
REMINDER: Applications and instructions for the UFA Scholarship Fund are still available on the UFA website: www.UFANYC.org. Deadline for submission is Friday, October 10, 2008.
3. Firefighters Museum to Recognize Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund
On Friday, October 10th, 7pm, at the Nassau County Firefighters Museum and Education Center on Museum Row located at 1 Davis Avenue Garden City, NY 11530. 4. 6th Annual Las Vegas Night
REMINDER: On Saturday, October 25th at 7pm E-201 will host its 6th annual Las Vegas Night in memory of Lt. Paul Martini, FF Greg Buck, FF John Schardt, and FF Chris Pickford at OLPH Notre Dame Hall on 60th St. & 6th Ave. in Brooklyn. Donation: $40 at the door. 5. Mayor's Graduate Scholarship Program: Deadline Update
REMINDER: Open to all city employees, including active members of the FDNY, who have an undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university and meet the minimum scholarship requirements. Applications and eligibility requirements are posted at www.nyc.gov/mgsp. All applications must be sent to Jacqueline Merveil, FDNY Registrar, Bureau of Training/Fire & Life Safety, 401 Murray Avenue, Ft. Totten, NY 11359. 6. NY Islanders Firefighter Appreciation Night
On Monday, November 17th at 7pm the New York Islanders will play against the Vancouver Canucks at Nassau Coliseum. FF's receive 40% off with prices starting at $25.
